We set out to produce the best backcountry rifle and cartridge combination ever, it was a project we did not take lightly. At our core, we pride ourselves in ballistic superiority. So, the goal was not to simply achieve the production of a 5-pound rifle. Instead, our team was able to break the 5-pound mark while delivering magnum performance in a firearm that doesn’t demand custom rifle pricing. Additionally, the combination of the stock design, brand new muzzle break, and proprietary patent-pending 3DHEX recoil reducer make it enjoyable to shoot.

After years of innovation and development, the Mark V® Backcountry Ti and 6.5 WBY RPM combination achieves the weight savings, ballistic performance, and price that cannot be found in a production rifle anywhere else. Most of all, it is a rifle that proudly carries the Weatherby name, and we do not take that lightly.

This is the sweetest rifle i have ever owned. Purchased Oct 2021, . topped it with a 2.4-12x 5 swarovki Z5. Shot 80 rounds through it for barrel break in. Loaded some test loads with H4831SC and 140 gr barnes ttsx. 3/8-1/2” groups at 100 yds. The trigger is real crisp, no creep. Best trigger on the market! Took my 1st whitetail buck at 330 yds. DRT! Great job Weatherby. Only little complaint is the recoil pad is as hard as a rock. But in a 280 AI, the recoil is very manageable even without the muzzle brake. Thought it recoil would be more being a light weight rifle. Absolutely love this rifle!!!!!!!!

You cannot appreciate how light this rifle is until you hold it in your hands! It has the best trigger on any rifle I have ever shot. I could not build a rifle with this many features on it for the price you can get the backcountry ti for.
