An elk hunting cartridge needs to provide enough energy and velocity to penetrate an animal that relies on its resilience.

Weatherby recommends a cartridge that is capable of delivering a minimum energy of 1500 ft/lbs. Our recommended elk cartridges carry that energy beyond 500 yards.
